13cm diameter coir fibre pots (with rim)

This is the Hairy pot we use on the nursery for growing our cottage garden plants and herbs, if you order some of our hairy plants these are what they will be growing in.  The rim on this design gives it a little more strength around the top of the pot and makes for easier handling.  Once in use, the pot will retain its integrity and shape for up to a year, providing it remains above ground.  As the pot ages, the latex that helps bind the coir fibres together, will gradually degrade, which will give the pots an increasingly hairy appearance.  Don't forget there is no need to remove the plant from the pot, simply plant the whole thing.  The roots will grow easily and rapidly through the pot walls into the surrounding soil and then the coir will break down over a couple of months.
