Dicentra spectabilis has a fleshy appearance of foliage and flowers which gives this hardy perennial an exotic appeal. Arching stems of pink and white heart shaped flowers are produced in early summer. 60cm in height with a spread of 50cm. Tends to do its thing, then fade away. Foliage may disappear in summer, but it will be back if not forgotten! Likes a little shade, a good garden soil and a sheltered position.
