No more plastic pots to mess about with, these Hairy coir pots grow great plants by encouraging fantastic healthy root growth, then you simply plant the whole lot in the ground to grow away.
This range of rimmed coir pots is ideal for growing on young plants before planting out in the garden. Don't forget that these pots are individually handmade, so there will be variations in the finished appearance of each pot. These variations, in our experience, will have little if any affect on plant growth or pot performance and add to their charm. The pots are naturally quite soft and flexible. The rim on this design gives it a little more strength around the top of the pot and makes for easier handling. Once in use, the pot will retain its integrity and shape for up to a year, providing it remains above ground. As the pot ages, the latex that helps bind the coir fibres together, will gradually degrade, which will give the pots an increasingly hairy apperance. Don't forget there is no need to remove the plant from the pot, simply plant the whole thing.The roots will grow easily and rapidly through the pot walls into the surrounding soil, and then the coir will break down over a couple of months.

Filling your box There should be a guide as to the number of empty pots we can fit in a box for each pot size in the individual pot description details. If you are making up a mixed box, you can then work out the best combination to fill your box (cheaper for us, you and the environment). Don't worry if maths isn't your thing, when you go to the 'checkout' the delivery charge will show and when you get a few too many on the order, the delivery charge will increase to the next level, you can then reduce the numbers a bit until the charge drops back again.
