Knautia macedonica

Knautia macedonica has vibrant, small, but numerous purple/red pincushion flowers that look fantastic in a mixed border. Flowers are held on branching stems, well above the divided leaves. Flowers will reach 60cm in height with a spread of 45cm. A tough plant with long lasting flowers which are attractive to insects. Loves full sun but needs an alkaline soil with good drainage.
