Nepeta mussinii
The common Catnip, Nepeta mussinii, is still a reliable favourite with its scented foliage. Small violet/blue flowers appear in summer. 45cm in height, if allowed, with a spread of 60cm. The grey/green foliage is sometimes flattened by cats which can get rather over enthusiastic about it! Does well in most garden soils if not too wet.
