Papaver Allegro

Papaver orient. Allegro has very large flowers that provide a stunning show. This Oriental Poppy produces early summer scarlet flowers with black centres. Flower stems peak at 45cm and clumps spread to 30cm. After its flamboyant early splash the flowers and foliage fade away, but will return in the spring. Loves a sunny warm position and does well even in poor soil conditions if well drained.
